Good second card?

I'm looking for a cheaper second card to go along my asus 7970 matrix platinum not sure if it's worth getting though, I'm looking at the HIS Radeon R9 270X IceQ BOOST how much of a performance increase would I get and would it be worth the money?

I think to xfire the 7970 you will need a 7970,7950 or 280x

What do you mean by "go long", you can't CFX different cards, they got to be same model, in some cases you can CFX a dual card with a single one, but as far as single goes it needs to be same model.

Yes you can cfx a 7970 and 280x

Isn't that because a 280x is a 7970? I think there's some minor differences but yeah that's why you can mash 'em together.

The clocks are higher, that's the only difference as far as I'm aware.
