As above really this will be the first time I clean it so I want something newb friendly and simple to use.

Unless someone local wants to earn some beer money. :D

It's not all that hard todo, Just make sure you lock the Sensor in the options of the camera while you clean it, Just buy a small kit from a Photo shop :) and watch some Utube videos:).

cymatty, as your in sheffield i would pop to harrisons on London road they will be able to help you out im sure! helped me out a few times

They want £45 to clean it for me which I thought was steep.:)

Any kit recommendations?

Dust wand is the one i've used, Not sure it would be the best kit, But it does the job, I got it from a local Photography shop in new mills.

Make sure you have a full batt when you start also, And a blower, If you're unsure just get a Pro todo it, As the kit will prob cost you more anyways.

I think my sensor may have had a bit of dirt on it.

so which kit did you go for in the end?

My friend provided it the kit as he used it on his camera, it looked like the Visible Dust 1.6x Sensor Cleaning Kit on amazon but with blue handled swabs instead.

It took a few attempts to get rid of all the dust but I am happy with the end results. :)

mine really needs a clean too!, have had a quick go with blower got rid of some.

thanks i will have google for kit

I am just doubling checking with him now, I will update this post with his response :)

Edit, I was right it was the Visible Dust Sensor Cleaning Kit, you just need to select the right size swabs for your sensor.
