Good service from Dell

Had a few problems with my Dell 1720 , so they said send 1720 back for replacement , give me a new 1720 with upgrade free , cannot be bad

They have upgraded my 2.0 to 2.2 Ghz processor + Vista Ultimate with 250HD and blue Lid

haha, in my experience they are not that bad. Had problems with my 9400 and they sorted it out very quickly.

Also had a few mobo's go on some old dell latitudes at work and they were always quick to come out and fix them

Dell's service is usually pretty good, problem is they are fixing things that should go wrong as often in the first place!

I still think the 9400 is a better machine then the 1720 , the 9400 has a better feel to it

agreed, I bought an xps m1530 but I still cant part with my 9400, the speakers are 1000x better for a start

Also the parm rest is poor on the 1720 , the faulty machine i sent back the paint was coming off

The one thing I do like about the 1720 is the fact you can add a second HD!

As long as we dont discuss dells own pricing then the powers that be are realitvly happy going from whats been said in the big laptop threads
