I've planned a retro gaming day soon with a few mates ; going to be playing a lot of old classics as well as some of the classic multiplayer (>2 player) games such as Gauntlet. Before ending the day with copious quantities of beer :D I thought it would be good to play a few newer multiplayer PC games, however these seem a bit thin on the ground.

I can't recall ever seeing a split screen racing game on the PC (not recently anyway),something like Flatout 2 would be great multiplayer.

I know there have been a couple of 4 player Ninja Turtle games released so thats one option but can anybody suggest any others?

Trackmania Sunrise could be good, its not split screen but has a mode called hot seat. Players (up to 8) take turns at trying to beat the time of the previous player within a set time or rounds limit. You get a ghost car on track of the current winning time. Its a crackin game.

Toca race driver3 (and most likely TRD2) have split screen but you would preferably need to controllers for that.

I have PS2/XBox controllers linked up so thats not a problem. I loved worms but preferred the PS1 version as everyone could have their own controller, passing a mouse round would be a bit crap.

Not interested in playing older PC games, sadly it looks like there aren't many of this type of game on the PC these days, whereas the consoles have loads. :(

I might be imagining it but wasn't there a multiplayer 'Superheroes' themed game out not too long ago?
