I have an allsop which i use on the bed but crave something better and larger, needs to be pretty rigid, glides well and hard wearing.

Any suggestions?

I was thinking steel series 9hd until i saw the size plus some folk mention it wears fast.

I've had a razer exact mat for yonks.. It worked wonderfully, its thick aluminium with 2 surfaces on either side.. It lasted for a very long time with constant abuse. I've recent switched to a BoogieBug and its quite a nice pad but very large.

Got a steelseries 4hd.

Had it since Christmas, had no wear yet....
Very nice :)
Using a RAT7 on it, works nicely :)

I think Razer did a large version of the Vespula at some point? or however it's spelt..

Excellent choice, smooth as a Teflon frying pan. Excellent for Razer gaming mice too, no sound from it unlike glass mouse pads and it just feels so frictionless.

Seriously, I'd buy the Exact Mat.

Fraid not i did say a large mat, at 330mm it's nowhere big enough im talking 400mm and over size, otherwise nice mat liking the smooth and rough sided option.

Thanks for the help, decided on the roccat taito in the end. :)

Right time to pick a mouse out.

Qpad HeatoN pad. Hybratek coated, glides like ice and huge. Very good mouse mat. We also have a Aluminium Lian-Li mouse pad, bit smaller though :)

for mice, go all out and get a rat 9 ;) haha..

Im also looking for a new mouse and I seriously can't decide.. good luck with choosing!!

Oh god don't go there. My deathadder has decided to pick up the double click of death, i was going to say roccat kone+ but seems a lot of folk have faults with it, so im thinking g700 or steelseries xai.

Never an easy choice eh.

I like the look of the g700, it looks comfortable to use.. However I've read on multiple 'older' reviews it suffers from battery issues (not lasting relatively long enough) and small movement issues where it wouldnt pick them up properly (but this has supposedly been fixed).

Just make sure you read into it before you purchase.

For me the best mousemat is NO mousemat...

Best I've ever had (and use) is the Razer Sphex.
Not a mouse "mat" exactly, as its as thin as a sheet of paper, but it sticks to your desk surface and is ultra smooth..you forget its even there.
Very responsive with my Logitec MX620 laser.
Quite big too, so no running off the ends!

Wouldn't recommend it if you take your mousemat about with you as it sticks to your desk.
Otherwise..I'd buy it.

Just bought the Qpad based on your recommendation! If its not as good as you make it sound I'm sending my G9x after you. 5000+ DPI, you ain't going no where!

Well i made my mind up and went for the steelseries xai, i like how you can adjust every aspect through the little menu underneath. Adjusting the sensitivity on the fly with the da was troublesome at times, couldn't use the display because bfbc2 would go into windowed mode.
