Good soundcard for cubase.

Ive been doing a little recording on Cubase with my guitar but with my onboard soundcard i am getting like half a second delay or so. What soundcard would anybody recommend? or is there a way to minimise delay on my onboard?

Thanks for all your help. Sounds like the emu cards are looking good. Those drivers also worked well. dropped from 176 ms of delay to 1.3 ms Thanks.
