Hi, just specd a pc up quickly and thought would check with the experts and see if any recommendations or anything.
I have an antec 900 case and a hiper 700w psu already.
I will be running a 28" lcd, maybe get one off this site or buy one locally as I live in Spain.

My spec is:

BFG GeForce GTX 260 OC 896MB GDDR3 TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail
Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 "Energy Efficient SLACR 95W Edition" 2.40GHz (1066FSB) -
Asus P5Q-E Intel P45 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
G.Skill 4GB DDR2 PQ PC2-8000C5 (2x2GB) CAS5 Dual Channel Kit (F2-8000CL5D-4GBPQ)
Hitachi Deskstar P7K500 500GB SATA-II 16MB Cache
Arctic Cooling Freezer XTREME CPU Cooler (Socket LGA775/AM2+/AM2/939)
or the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler (Socket LGA775)
Samsung SH-S223F/BEBE 22x DVD±RW SATA Dual Layer ReWriter (Black) - OEM
Akasa SATA-2 45cm Silver Data Cable

also is it worth paying the extra for the 3ghz guaranteed?

Thanks again
Jamie;)

Can I ask why you need to buy Sata cables, they should be included with the motherboard.
Not worth paying the xtra for the G'teed overclock, any Q6600 G0 Stepping should overclock to that speed anyway.
Western digital Blue 640GB HD is the same price as the hitachi, It should be faster & probably more reliable.
I wouldn't trust that Hiper PSU with your rig, Reason? do a search for 'Hiper Explosive' on here & there's a fairly large thread on it.
I'd pick the Freezer Xtreme Cooler from the 2 CPU coolers.

I don't know where you stand on OCUK/Manufacturers warranty out in Spain of UK based PC parts & a monitor, send them a webnote if you are unsure.
