any Q6600 will hit 3.0GHz, waste of money mate

You will need to. That just means they've tested the chip so it's guaranteed to overclock to at least 3GHz, which, to be honest, could be achieved by any Q6600 or Q6700. In fact, by getting a chip that's 'guaranteed' for 3GHz, you might even get a bad chip that won't overclock PAST 3GHz.

Better cooler and better CPU.

Okay, so the motherboard isn't as good. You could choose the B-Grade one if you wanted to, but I personally would stay away from them. It just depends if you're willing to take the risk on a B-Grade item. Also, I'm not sure if you'd get all the cables and stuff with a B-Grade motherboard.

Thanks guys... have placed the order...although I forgot to put on the artic cooler and now I can't add to order as it won't accept my credit card again...any ideas? Should I just call monday morning to add?

I went for what you suggested... you are probably right about the B grade stuff..and the Q6700 clocks higher than the Q6600. Sound advice, thanks a lot...

Should be arriving on Tuesday...cant wait!

shoud get that quad to hit 3.3GHz+ paired with that cooler.
