this is from another site don't know if i can post it but is it a good price at 800 quid

Seems ok to me, it comes in rougly at build cost if you source the same components from here(or sub if not available).

If you let us know if you have anything already, and what your use will be, we could better advise on your query.

If you are getting an i3 then get a cheap motherboard such as this:

or

The one in your proposed spec is one I would be looking at for the i5 750. No point spending all the money on an i5 750 board when you are only going to have a dualcore cpu.

In fact, I would not be looking at a dualcore cpu anyway. Get an i5 750 or the equivalent amd quad.

I just tried speccing a phenom X4 955, gskill ripjaw 4gb ram, asus M4A79XTD, asus HD 5850, OCZ 600W psu and windows 7.

Got to 700quid without a monitor, speakers, keyboard and mouse.

So gave up.

There is nothing wrong with an i3, just make sure it is paired with a cheaper motherboard like I linked, otherwise with the extra £40-50 on the motherboard you may aswel stump up the extra £50-60 for an i5 750 chip.

thats the spec of the pre built system plus comes with a 2 year warranty thought it was a decent pc considering it comes with all you need

It is a decent price.

Only thing to check is how good the monitor is at pixel refresh/ghosting.
