Good time for a new build?

Looking to build a new PC and there's no real rush, are there any new sockets/chipsets/processor generations around the corner that I should consider waiting for?

I know there's never a 'best time' but wanting to minimize headaches for a few years down the road.

As you're in no rush and future proofing seems important - i would definitely wait for the Ryzen 5 release as the AM4 socket will be around for a while.

AMD seem to have finally matched INTEL for precessing power but for substantially lower costs and AMDs longevity of socket should reduce your headaches :).

And in a couple of months drivers/BIOSs will hopefully have all the bugs ironed out and the 5 series should be the sweet spot for the average user.
