Good time to buy an iPhone?

Hi Guys,

I've got a 2g 8gb iPhone which I've had for about a year and a half now. It's getting rather battered and is in need of replacement. However this phone came from America and was then unlocked and happily running on T-Mobile...


But I'm in the regent street store right now and I'm VERY tempted to buy one on PAYG (not signing an O2 contract)


Question is, would I be able to move my t-mobile number over to O2 and still use the iPhone as per normal? And are there any rumoured updates coming out?

Well im on the train home and posting from..........my old iPhone

My head got the better of me and stopped the wallet shaking and decided not to.
