Good UK ISP

Hi

Im currently on Virgin Broadband 8mb, and to be quite honest there internet is ****, i get like 6.5mbps speed which is fine, but say i download like 20gb off peak, i get capped 50% of my line (about 4mb) or if i download 30+gb off peak i get capped to 25% so about 700k download.

During peak they cap it anyway to 75% and it blows hard, I keep getting high ping in games, frequent lag spikes, one minute my MS is 50/80 next minute its spiking up to 1000/2000 then dropping back down.
Can't use vent cause people speaking lags but when i speak out its fine :S

So i was wondering if you have any recommendations for a new ISP?

Entanet supplier if your local exchange isnt LLU. If you want better you are looking at the likes of Zen. For LLU you are looking at the likes of easynet or O2/BE. Check samknows on your local exchange to find out.

Having exactly the same issues as yourself with virgin adsl (non llu)- have migrated to ADSL24 - read mixed reviews but there is no contract and free migration away if you are not satisfied -so should get it next week.

Virgin did try everything (or said they did) but ADSL do state that the latency wouldnt drop and they have a good "free" off peak usage policy.

It might be worth a try.

I don't have LLU so i can't get BE, i have found 3 ISP's that have unlimited downloads.

I need a phone calls included tho aswell, is it possible to go with an ISP then use some other service for calls? If so, any recommendations?
