Hi I trying to do some programming under Ubuntu, in the past I have used Kscope. although this is no longer supported.

I am wondering if their are any good alternatives?

Was looking for GUI based editor ,kscope had a similar feel to notepad++ in windows.
Is their an easier alternative other than Vim? I'm looking for minimal effort in changing :p

gedit is a decent GUI editor.

But as said, if you put in the effort to learn vim or similar it would be worth it.

obligatory emacs

Heresy!

You'll probably love vim if you take the time to learn and understand it, however I tend to use Komodo Edit for my web dev stuff these days - it is very intelligent and "learns" all of my classes to offer function/usage tips and completions.
