Good upgrade from an 8800gts?

Got an 8800gts 512mb. Not into oc'ing it. Never managed to get a decent clock stable so new card wanted.. Playing l4d a lot and want something that can give me a little more fps with everything turned up.

As close to £100 as possible. No SLI, and no point upgrading chip / mobo to i5/7 yet imo. Would consider an ATI card, but not sure about the Linux drivers (dual booting with Sabayon)

otherwise u can get a 4870 for a bit less if u dont want to stretch to 120
