Good Upgrade?

Would this be a good upgrade from my HD 7850, or could I get better value for spending slightly more?

R9 380 or 390 are the way to go for price to performance, you are not going to be displeased with either.

If the MSI 390 is still on offer (it was last week, not sure about now) and your budget can stretch to it, I'd definitely suggest that.

R9 380X should be around any time now as well, so might be worth waiting to see if that affects prices much.

Not sure if anyone (OcUK staff?) has a release date?

The 390 is a very good card and what someone with a £200-250 budget should be looking at - If £185 is your budget the 380 is the way to go

Sorry yes the 390 to many X's in cards these days haha, the 390 on OCUK weekly deal is a very good buy, i was half tempted to downgrade back to 1080P and grab one but i do love the 1440P

I would go for the 390, the 8GB will future proof it and should easily see two years from it. Especially with talks for DX12 been the favored platform for AMD cards.
