Any recommendations for a UPS? Must smooth out any spikes or brownouts, 5 minutes running time will be enough (unless burning so 4x DVD-R burning - 20mins?)

oh supplied system is a Enermax 620W PSU - probably AMD 4000, 2 HD's, 7800GT or 1800 XL, plus a TFT monitor

sorry to ask a silly question but why do you need a UPS unless its for a server?

Since using a laptop, I've got used to the internal battery acting as a UPS.. UPS's are useful for filtering out brown-outs, spikes. A brown out can damage electrical equipment. Useful when flashing BIOS also...bet ya ten quid the power fails at 50% flashing! :p
