Hey all

I'm removing my Decats and putting the stock Downpipe and cats back on my MPS.
Various reasons why...

I will be taking the O2 sensors off to do this so thought I may as well clean them...

What's the best way of going about this?

I don't want to damage them, £250 for a new sensor is something I do not want to deal with

Is this for a special MOT?
Nope. To be honest, I'm fed up of the smell it chucks out, the smog it throws out on WOT and the poor fuel economy.
All things I've had since going catless.
Plus the environmental impact.

My MPS isn't mapped for big power, so I don't actually need a 3" catless DP.

Then don't bother trying to clean them

The bit that actually needs cleaning is inside the casing, so the only thing you can try and do is soak it in something e.g. petrol, but if there isn't actually anything wrong and you can't afford a replacement, don't do anything.
I'm getting poor economy. Which the O2 sensor could be the major factor in.

Also, if it's been mapped with the decat in place then fitting the cat back in will make it run richer.
Yes, I am aware. I'm reverting to a stock map before I drive anywhere.
I have the mapping tools so I can upload what ever map I like.
