Have spilt some super glue in the kitchen and wondered if anybody knew any good ways to remove.

Its on the floor tiles and front of some cupboards and drawers.

Thanks in advance...;)

Will acetone not damage the front of the cupboards?

All I know is it totally ****** up a powercoat aluminium finish on some speakers I had which I accidently got a drip of superglue on :( . I'd be wary, though would expect vinyl/resin (fablon, worksurface type material) to be more resiliant.

Managed to get it off the tiles but it seems to have went into a white dull finish on the cupboard front.

Seems to be tougher to remove from this surface....

Try scraping it gently with a credit card. The whiteness is called blooming - cyanoacrylate based glues do this. The surface beneath should be fine. Acetone may remove any inks/paints used on your work surface, so be careful. I usually find that acetone isn't much cop for removing superglue anyway. The best thing is usually to pick it off or use soapy water.

Coca Cola is used by police Diverse Protest Teams to free protestors who have glued themselves to gates/railings/eachother/whatever/etc. Works fairly well!

You could give Loctite superglue remover a shot. Never used it myself but it seems the obvious thing to use to me.

Is that in the same way that it's used by highway patrols in america to clean up blood and will dissolve a nail if left overnight?

As in it's not? Or is it actually true this time?
