We got NETGEAR Universal N300 Wi-Fi to Ethernet Adapter (WNCE2001)[/url] a few weeks back & it died today. I heard from a store that people are always bringing Netgears back. Just wondering, is Netgear a brand that usually has bad wireless or I heard wrong at the store? This is the 2nd Netgear product that the wirless has went out on, not long after purchase. The problem is, the modem/router is on the 2nd floor & we want our VOiP (through nettalk) phone on the first.

Does it have a Ethernet port that works when it is connected to a wifi network? We have a Apple airport, but the wired doesn't work if it is connected to a wifi network.

Yes. You set its mode to 'client' and enter the wifi username and password. It'll then connect to the wireless network and you can connect to its Ethernet port.

Download the user manual from TP-Link's website and check it if it works in the way you need it to.
