I've recently joined the world of SB-E X79 after a few years with X58, and to be brutally honest, the BIOS options are confusing the hell out of me.
What I'm ideally looking for is a forum post (be it here or somewhere like xtremesystems - which I've searched but found nothing yet) that details the overclocking process on Asus X79 boards, what the various options are, and what the different voltages do (plus their "safe" ranges).
I've tried the obvious, and have my multi as far as it will go (44, not fully multi-unlocked i7-3820), and have tried setting a 125MHz strap with a 39 multi, but it doesn't seem to boot at the expected 4.875GHz but 4.5GHz, to which I'm not sure why (or how)?
I must be missing something obvious, but I'd love to read an in-depth guide/review/tutorial somewhere (as I did for X58, X38, and most other systems since things became far more complicated than FSB/Multi/vcore/vmem).
