good youtube downloader

Off on holiday soon and i would like to download some youtube videos for my son to keep him occupied during the journey.
Does anyone have a good free version for the PC that will download the videos to work on an android tablet and iOS device?

I use 'Download Helper' on Firefox, Never found a video (or website) it won't work on!, some videos download in .flv format but others do download in .mp4 (which will work no probs in both android or iOS).

The ones in .flv can be converted to .mp4 using Handbreak though!!

real player is quite good, the plugin doesnt work properly with chrome though. Good with IE though

With two votes for it, I gave it a try. Other than requiring Java, it worked beautifully. Web-based so no installation necessary, gave all the download quality options. Did what it needed to do. Cheers!
