Well my 200SX s14a is now stored in my bothers drive and i will be driving a 1999 Ford Mondeo in the mean time.

My S14a's big end had started to rattle ever so slightly last month after which i decided to take it off the road when the tax ran out which is tommrow. It was a good job as i had a peek through the oil filler hole and noticed no oil reaching the first cam so blocked spray bars and a definate lip on the cam lobe.

So there i left the SX on my brothers drive and me sitting what felt like on a booster seat in the mondeo.

I already miss it :( Anyway the plan is to rebuild starting May with forged internals etc so it will be back hopefully by August time.

I will be undertaking the rebuild myself that in which is a dauting task in itself i am a software engineer by day so by no means a professional and the most extensive job i've done on the car is fit a FMIC. So it will be something of a learning experience.

A project thread will follow once i start. :)

Good luck Daz. Best way to learn is by doing things yourself! I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun ripping the engine to bits.

I look forward to seeing the finished product.

Looking forward to this, you doing the build yourself? Spec?

I've not yet finalised the spec myself but so far

CP Pistons .5 oversize
Eagle Rods
1.6mm MHG
Brian Crower 264 Cam shafts
Brain Crower Valve Springs and Titanium Retainers.

And when its on the road and run in ill look into

Nismo 740cc Injectors
garrett GT2871R or maybe something even bigger ;)

my overall target is 400 bhp of course i will be uprating the brakes and fitting coilovers to accomodate all this.

yeah Jez at horsham developments and dan at DB Power will be my first ports of call for parts and knowledge. Probably end up with a custom map from Jez :)

Makes sense, unless you really need features of an after market ECU a custom map from Jez seems as good.

You going for one of Dans BBKs or R34 GT-R/Z33 Brembos?

Current thinking about going for one of the wilwood kits he has on offer quite cheap for what i've seen when SXOC member showed me what the front 345mm 4 pots could do.
