Well guys & gals,

The time has come for me to say goodbye to SETI :(

My three GTX260's will be slowly making thier way to new homes via ebay. The first has now been listed :(

So my ppd will slowly begin to dwindle away.

It's a sad day to say the least :(

Sorry to hear that mate, take it circumstances have dictated and claimed a proud OcUk Boinc warrior once again :(

sshhh, don't tell anyone, but.....

They are getting replaced with..................................................

nyah, he's a credit tart, milkyway at home and ati cards :)

edit: you're not going to wait to stomp me first? sigh :p

I gave up on ATI a long time ago and it's only CPU for Milkway in my rig :)

But, if it helps.........

Due to me working the back shift I have been getting an extra £600 a month which will be going towards replacement cards in 16 days.

Good luck with your new project Loudbob. The team stats page still says you're generating more work than me so I'll never catch you ;)

Heh.. thats evil milking the sympathy like that!!

But.. erm.. hope your not pinning your hopes on anything new from the green team being available to actually *buy* in 16 days.

Hmm, you know, for the increase in compute capability (following wiki's GFLOPs numbers here), 1686 vs 874.8 (assuming you won't splurge out for the top model), it'll probably be cheaper spending the money on a new skeleton rig and keep adding more gtx 260s.....

Dont you dare think of quitting

I'm in the process of putting a farm together to give you big hitters a bit more motivation ;)

I need a GPU. All these upstarts making mincemeat of me. :(

Problem is I'd probably have to buy a PC to install one. I've only got two PCI-e systems - one of those runs Linux, and the other is the PC that lives under the TV (which doesn't have the cooling capacity - or space - for a big card).
