So I get a call this morning (From 01785-290024)

On answering there is a moments silence and then a recorded message in a female voice simply saying "Goodbye"

So, anybody know what this is about??

It has happened several times over the last few weeks. Is about autodialers trying to figure out when people are at home or whether the number is an active one??

Ho Hummn.

You had a lucky escape, usually your phone is meant to blow up shortly after that call, taking your head clean off

Automated dialler, when someone picks up the call it automatically transfers through to a person, but no one was available so it just hangs up.

These calls are used to triangulate your position. Popular technique with stolen-to-order car thieves and the black market organ trade.

It's a call from the future but the time line has collapsed leaving you with only the final seconds of the conversation. It's probably regarding a vehicle accident you're due to be involved in, in 2031.
