Hey guys, i know we are all fans of the "gangster" films so i decided to do a very deep meaning tribute.

What do you think?

I can't link to YouTube from here, but I hope there are no swearies in your video!

The only audio from the film i included to set the theme were at the beginning and end,

"As far back as i can remmeber i always wanted to be a gangster"

Then at the end when Henry declares himself "normal"

I stuck in Guns N' Roses - Welcome To The Jungle. Here's my video description,

I like how when the freeze frame after the court room scene(at about 00:35) is really "Welcome To The Jungle" for Henry. This song fits so well.

My second try with Sony Vegas 8. Took me about 3 hours. Scene selection was the hard part. How do you condense such a spectacular film?

One theme that is also subtly covered here is the Jungle representing the men's potential for evil. You could call it survival in a way.

Muffin, i started the thread at 11:32 and you posted at 11:35. The video is on for 4 minutes and 37 seconds.......... how could you possibly have watched it all?

Why would you do that?

What was the aim? Why blur it so much it gives headaches?

Do you mean at the car smashing scene? (at about 00:16)

Maybe it's not needed but i thought it worked with the guitar notes.

If it is really that bad then i'll take it out. Apart from the blurs ok?

Don't expect much constructive feedback here to be honest, the blurs are a bit much though I'd agree. Apart from that minor irritation I watched it until the end which says something. :)

The blurring has to go. I also think there is a little too much strobing throughout.

I like the idea, but I can't help but feel that some of the scenes you have chosen don't fit the tempo of the song. Some are just too long to go with the "snappy" nature of Welcome to the Jungle. I think that's why you have used strobing so much.

Having said that, there's some very good editing in there too.

I agree with this, some of the talking scenes were too long and i was more interested in trying to figure out/remember what they were saying, liked the rest though.
