Ive got tickets for my son and I to go this year. Im interested to know if grandstand seats are advisable on the Sunday to see the track cars. I see they are roving tickets so you can move around if you want but at £42 each its not cheap.

No you don't need grandstand seats, you can stand in most places on the hill climb and be within a stones throw of the cars with minimal barriers in the way. It's mostly walls or bales in between the road and where you stand so no big wire fences etc.

I'm going this year for the first time since the Renault Espace F1 went up the hill!

Are there any details out yet on what or who is there in each of the days?

No details on attendees yet other than a few hints kicking about. The press day should be the middle of this month, that's when the first real news starts.

EDIT: Should really have given away some of the hints - March 2-4-0 seems the best so far!

I've just got tickets and my accommodation booked and I'll be going for the weekend. I've been every year since 2005 and whilst in that time its got busier I see no point to booking grandstand seats, I've never had a problem getting a good view of the cars on the hill climb.

You'll love it ;) Me and the parents went in '09, and it was fantastic. Having a passenger ride in Bowlers on the dirt jump track was something else....

Plenty of places to stand and see the cars go by when they're doing the hillclimb. If you get a chance, definately wander about the paddocks for the rally stage and the lower hillclimb paddock. I remember some of the Auto Union Silver Arrow cars starting up, loud was not the word!
