Anyone been/going this year? Festival of speed is this weekend.

I'm off in the morning down there, got VIP access to the Mclaren Hospitality tent aswell.
 
Yes, I went on Friday. I had a fantastic day and would recommend it to anyone else.

Ferrari concept car in the ferrari concept tent :)

Ive just got back and had a fantastic day, spotted quite a few people and the cars were lush. The hill climbs went a bit slow tho because people kept crashing :P. 1st some guy came off on a bike, looked nasty but didnt hear or see anything more , 2nd some proper old F1 car span and smashed to bits :(, 3rd the guy driving the new Ferrari 599 entered the corner too fast, locking up his brakes which ment he drove straight into the hay pales smashing his bumper + more. And then the new Ford GT Span outside the manorhouse :D

Fantastic day tho, shame the guy in the buggati wasnt giving it the boot :(

Is this Rossi ? Someone shouted rossi then i turned around to see a crowd of about 100 people standing waiting for autographs. He sounded foreign so i snapped away but something tells me its not him. And me not being a big fan of motoGP meens i see the bloke on tele once in a blue moon :P

By the way, the vents on the Ferrari concept ARE symetrical, you just can't see the other ven't due to the angle.

You can just about see it, and put 2 and 2 together ;)
 
Went along on Friday and had another cracking day as usual. Had a go on the Porsche Cayenne driving experience, which was basically been driven around a very muddy field (that was sprayed down every 30 minutes) pretty quick and pulling some huge power slides.

Didn't take many pictures this year, but this 997 C4S was just awesome.

Did anyone else hear the Renault F1 car 'playing' the National Anthem with its engine :eek: We were sat about 200m away and assumed they must have run some sort of pre-programmed rev program on it, but it was perfect. Never heard of anything like that before!
 
The Cayenne offroad thing looked a little pointless next to the Bowler Wildcat one ;)

I went on Friday and didn't see any crashes! Though people don't try all that hard on the Friday. Saw Murray Walker and a few random drivers though.
 
i really do need to get myself along to goodwood one year.. it looks amazing :)

Think ill sort it out for next year :D
 
I got back yesterday from it, bloody knackered and sunburnt but well worth it. When they call it a hill climb, there not bloody joking. I was well shagged after walking up to the rally stage.

Reccomend it to anyone though, im gonna go next year.

I got a few crap pics and some low quality video clips, ill whack em online at some point.

Yeah we heard that too, most impressive. Excellent day out again, I felt there was a lot more to see this year as well.
