wtf.
are they taking the ****?
are they taking the ****?
I ask because I was earning a hell of a lot more from my clicks, yet the last few have been for 3 cents. At that price it's not even worth having ads on my site at all.joeyjojo said:I dont think so.
Why do you ask?
Yeah, I'm in the process of looking into this.Beansprout said:But yes, if you want a more stable/guaranteed form of advertising, then try the other routes![]()
You could say that about revenue generated by any form of advertisements in all types of media. Which makes it kind of a void point. I.e. you wouldn't consider newspapers/magazines making profit from their ads to be "free money". I don't see why it should be any different for a website.Beansprout said:It's only not free if alternatives will pay higher
Edit: Having just looked at your own site (http://www.growse.com), I can understand your attitude towards advertising. The difference here is that I have a site which has got obvious targeted advertising potential, whereas with a site like yours, at best you're going to earn a few dollars towards costs if you're lucky.growse said:You're complaining becuase you weren't paid "enough" by someone going to your webpage and clicking on an advert there. Does that sound weird to anyone else?
yeah, i agree. i'm looking into this.growse said:You make the mistake of thinking that's my only site. Like the poster ^^ I have experience in both adwords and adsense, and kinda know what they're about.
It seems to me that you're coming from a pov that is expecting a guaranteed income from an website, which you say has "obvious targeted advertising potential". The thing is, if you want a guaranteed income, you don't use adsense. In my experience, using adsense is a bit like gambling - you only do it if you're perfectly happy with a 0 rate of return. Because that's exactly what you could get if no-one clicks on the ads.
If you want a guaranteed rate of return, strike a deal with some companies, sell your space through an advertising media sales company, but don't use adsense.
