ok ive had my ad words account for 2 days and everything is active on my account but for some reason i cant see my ad on the google network for the uk! Has anyone here had any experience with advertising using adwords! And if you do how long befor it becomes fully active?

thanks

I use adwords, I'm sure mine started pretty much straight away.
I think if you have a fairly low maximum daily spend that google spreads your clicks throughout the day rather than people clicking first thing and then been off for the rest of the day.
Thats how ours seems to work, were there one minute then gone the next.

Have you got a cpanel through your webserver that you can log into to see if anyone is coming from google?

That could be your problem. When you set a daily budget, Google will spread out your impressions over the whole day, meaning you wont appear for every search.

edit: yeah, what chipperhead said^

It also depends on which words you are bidding on. You might not have high enough bid on certain words, and will in your next report, come up as inactive for search.

ps: UK ad words is really expensive for some search words :(

Depends entirely on the popularity of your chosen keywords. The beauty of the system is, even if you have a small budget, you will get the traffic you pay for (assuming your advert is good enough), so the higher the budget, the more traffic you'll get. You just need to decide how much you can afford. :)
