google analytics - where does the tracking code go in forums?

Where do I put the tracking code for google analytics in forums?

Every page. in asp.net they'd go into a master/layout page.

I'm sure when I used PHPBB, I put my code before the </body> in footer.tpl in the templates folder!

It might be easier (depending on your skill level) to install a plugin which will do the coding for you and you can just add in the code to the plugin.
