Google and your website..

Hi,

I am nearly finished on a website I have been working on and as its my first website I am looking for some help and advise as to how it appears on google when someone searches for info that my page contains?

Once I upload the website to my host how long does it take to appear in google?

How does my website appear at position 1 in google or on the 1st page in google when ppl search for info that my page contains?

All help and advise would be most appreciated..

Your web host should have some kind of web stats package for you to use.

Google Analytics is great, sign up for an account and await your invitation code. It takes a few weeks but it's worth it.
