Google Android or Chrome event 24th July

Certain retail places have begun reducing the price of the current 32GB Nexus 7. Saw one place online pricing it at around £179.

So looks like the new N7 will be showcased! As for OS. I reckon 4.3. Tho why they can't just jump to 5.0 is beyond me!

Androids 5th birthday is in November so Goggle will drop KLP and probably a Nexus 5 at the same time.

Yup most definetly!

I will be shocked if we see a new nexus phone and klp before November/December. Last 3 nexus devices have come out around that time and plus Google wouldn't release a new android update so soon considering 4.3 isn't even out officially yet! :p

Will we see a surprise announcement of some kind of TV integration device too?

It could be some kind of Google TV on a dongle with deep integration with Android and Chrome... there are hints of the device found buried on the new Music APK too!

Apologies for the negativity but I fear this announcement will be underwhelming. Especially with the complete failure by Google to keep the next-gen Nexus 7 under wraps. 4.3 will just be an incremental update.

On the flipside, If this "Chromecast" device is running Android which it no doubt will be, they will be setting the bar in the media streaming market. Chromecast + XBMC = Me being first in the queue.

(I am probably getting ahead of myself)

Still up for me. Staring at the Google logo for nearly 30 minutes... how fun...

EDIT: I spoke too soon, I noticed it got stuck at 24:09 so I refreshed. Now I'm getting the problem.
