The rom is already available for anyone on a Nexus 4 to flash if they don't want to wait for the OTA update. Just head over to the Nexus 4 thread for links.

So you could plug Chromecast into your TV via HDMI and then just get a mains to USB power thingy and use that and it will work? My Bedroom TV doesnt have a USB port you sees....?

Definitely seems that way. The USB is just for power.

Are you asking about the "Breakfast with Sundar" presentation, as that was publicly available 'live' at http://live.cnet.com/Event/Googles_Breakfast_with_Sundar?Page=0 ... or was there another one also?

I wonder if Google are hitting back at the UK due to the tax debacle? I mean wasn't the original nexus 7 available to pre order and released the same time as the states?

The release of the N7 wasn't exactly something that Google, or anyone, would want to aspire to.

Love the idea of Chromecast, hopefully will be available soon. And in the market for a tablet so tempted by the new N7, or do I try and get hold of a cheaper v1? just got to wait for JB 4.3 to be released now.

The Nexus 7 UK price has been priced at £199.99 for the 16GB version and £239.99 for the 32GB version and is going to be released on the 13th of September according to Currys/PC World.
