Google Apps vs Office 365

I've received my 30 day renewal notice with Google Apps Business and I'm considering giving Office 365 a try as its roughly the same price.

I've not had any problems with Google Apps and the Outlook sync has worked fine. I only really use Outlook with it and also iPhone/iPad, so basically its email only and its single user.

Are there any big benefits to going to 365 or should I just stick with Apps?

Although I don't really trust Google to be as customer orientated as they like to think, if you are happy with the service and the price is reasonable I would stick with it.

We've not even seen Microsoft's iOS apps in action with Office 365 so it's hard to gauge whether it's worth investing in yet. I would look at the situation again when you next renew.

Change is as good as a rest, I don't see any reason to not try O365 and have in effect your own (albeit virtualised) Exchange server, in particular if you use Outlook. Just for pure email I doubt there's much in it although(as I've moaned here a lot ;) ) I'd still prefer Google didn't rummage my email, no matter how anonymous the results are.

Thanks for the feedback, I was initially thinking of the entry level one but I've decided to give P1 a try. In the process of delegating my domains name servers now.
