I have recently setup my Google Calendar along with my partner and have been finding it really useful, along with the already excellent iGoogle!
Today I noticed in the settings that you can setup notification via SMS and on checking their page titled "Is receiving notifications by SMS free?" it appears that they are!
Does anyone know if this is correct? It does state that “US or Canada, your mobile service provider's standard rate for receiving text messages may apply”, but as far as I am aware UK providers do not charge to receive texts?
If this is really true then well done Google is all I can say! I have to say I am surprised by this, as in this day nothing is usually free, especially text messages.
Having SMS text alerts coming in one hour prior to my appointment, from my any-PC based calendar is a result
