google cardboard help

I recently decided to try out google cardboard. I have looked on the internet and can see with abit of software you can use cardboard as a cheap vr headset for pc games. I no with limited capability etc etc. So far i have trinus gyre streaming the game to my phone just fine. However i cannot get non of the head tracking working. I have downloaded freepie and found a script on the internet but nothing happens on my phone. I then downloaded a freepie imu apk for my phone but still nothing.

What am i doing wrong. How do i get the headtracking/motion sensing working?
