Google checkout or scam?

Hi, I have been looking to get a family car that's diesel and found a Audi A4 tdi that caught my eyes. The problem is the register owner is not in this country and will only except the transaction through google checkout. I have never used google checkout and I also smell scam.

I did offered him to give cash or cashier cheque but he still insist using google checkout.

My gut is telling me not to trust him, has anyone done a transaction through google checkout that involve more then £6k? I don't even trust paypal let alone google checkout.

i use googlecheckout and its very similar to paypal and probablly fine but if something doesnt feel right, walk !
 
Scam. His mail to you is worded with EXACTLY the same kind of phrasing as ENDLESS other Nigerian scam mails. See:

If you are still interested and have cash just send me your Google Checkout email (www.GoogleCheckout.com) and I'll ask them to fill you in with the transaction details.
After Google Checkout confirms the transaction I will personally come and hand you the keys(this way I will not make the trip just to see that you don't have the money or any other reason...)
