Google Chrome going slow as dog turd the last few days??

So have been noticing chrome going slow as anything the last few days, just takes ages to load a simple web page. Its not my internet as i have done a speed test and getting well over 200meg and 30 upload, i have tried disabling all extensions, cleared the cache run virus scans etc.

Has anyone else had a similar experience and ideas what the cause could be?

Does the same happen in Firefox as well?

You say speed is fine but what about latency and packet loss? If you're getting high latency and significant packet loss, it can point to a network issue. Is the PC wired or wireless to the router? Which ISP?

Had the recent issue with the adblock plugin where I think Google did something specific to "slow down" users, but since then i've not seen or had any similar issues.

Tried running chrome incognito mode to see if that makes any difference? What version are you on?
