Hi all.

I've used Google Chrome lightly for a while now, but it doesn't (or at least didn't) do some of the things FireFox did, so I didn't use it a lot.

Just installed it on my laptop and trying to get more used to it.
My question probably has a simple answer, how do I move buttons around on the toolbar/address bar?
I seem to be able to drag one on the right of the address bar to somewhere else on the right of the address bar but can't move them to the left of the address bar and can't move things on the left at all.
I want to move some of the things on the right to the left and some of the things on the left to the right...

On a side note, what is a good as-you-type spell checker for Chrome?

Thanks.

You can't normally move icons on the right to the left and vice versa. The 'left' side icons are system icons.
The right side icons are extension icons. They act similarly to tray icons on Windows XP.

If you absolutely cannot stand this restriction you probably have OCD and should see a doctor. Or you could browse for an addon based solution :P

Chrome has a built in spell checker that checks as you type. Cut n paste this into your address bar to jump straight to the settings page. chrome://chrome/settings/languages

Tried that spell checker, it's not working for me. Or at least it's not very good.

Anyway, I guess I'll go back to Firefox that does let me move icons around. ridiculous restriction if you ask me (not that you did).

Still, seems typical of the problems I've had with Chrome in the past, not enough options to customise things. I guess it's ok if you just want default settings for things with no way to change them. I'm used to a little more control.
