google chrome or safari?

Chrome tbh out of those two. Firefox is my choice of browser but I have IE, Opera and chrome too ( some pages work better on different browers) safari is rubbish and even on a mac I wouldn't use it.

Main reason i tried something other than IE7 was that on my work PC nearly everytime i used tabbed browsing after a short while the page would freeze and not respond. So I tried out Chrome Beta, firefox and opera at the time and opera won me over. I especially like the home page having 9 regular favourites :p

On the very rare occasion that opera does crash or the PC crashes for some other reason, when you restart opera it gives u the option to open up all the tabs at their last web addresses - this also works if u deliberately shut down the PC without closing the web browser (useful if u want to open the same pages at the next restart).

Only problem with opera is that not all web pages support it, so do not load properly or secure sites may only support IE and firefox, like Natwest OLB until recently.

Opera or Chrome

Safari runs horribly on a PC (I haven't tried the latest version which may have sorted a few things out)

just a quick Q, I decided to download Opera too as a bit fed up of mozilla, and i have to say i quite like Opera, But on a certain website, modlife.com ( a music site) it has a chat part and as soon as i enter that the browser instantly returns to the homepage of that website.....any idea of what to do? as it works fine on mozilla

answering the questions about firefox being slow on my system. it seems to take a long time to show a web page and not very responsive on the buttons, and sometimes i get error messages talking about pages didnt load properly.

safari is good on macs you are right but slow on pc to me too.

IE7 is just horrible im not going to even start with the reasons why i dont like it lol

chrome on my net book running xp home, is very fast and low on resources.

operas brilliant at the moment still going smooth and fast for me.

I'd be interested to know why you think IE is that bad, as lots of people say it is but never come up with any reasons.

Just dled divx a update that came with Chrome so decided to give it a try and so far wow! it's lightning fast!! Dont like the tabs home page as much as opera but i'll give it a chance.

I have been using Opera since 9.5 was released and love it. The javascript support seems a bit slow but I hear a new javascript thingy is being worked on for Opera 10. Best parts of Opera 9.6:

Interface - Just like the style, nice large tabs and stuff.
Mouse Gestures - Can't live without them now! - I even try to do it in windows between folders but that obviously doesn;t work!
Speedial is excellent
Opera Link works flawlessly too!

I like Chrome but it does have the occasional problem and I have seen it eat a big chunk of ram at times.

FireFox 3 beta on my laptop at work seems very slow.

IE 7 is good but not as fast as Chrome yet reliable.

I liked Opera when I used it once but it decided to stop working and I never bothered with it again, might give it another whirl.

Back when I used it, annoying popups that required interaction.

Your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page. As a result, the page may not display correctly

I know, I disabled the damn thing.
