Google Chrome OS.. anyone else intrigued?

Just lol at some of the replies in that thread.. "Google will hurt themselves" "Google have no experience of cross platform development"

epic lols.

When have Google had experience of cross platform development of an OS?

Their web based services are about standardisation and abstraction away from the hardware, they've basically built and geo diverse super computer which all of their apps run across.

The closest they've come is building Android which would have extremely specific hardware requirements.

HEADRAT

They have plenty of cross platform OS development experience.. they built their own OS to run their search engine which uses second hand parts salvaged from car boot sales.

LOL what decade was that in ;)
LOL what decade are you living in to think Google are completely new to development, and aren't, in fact, comprised of developers from every walk of life, including pioneering developers from various fields, such as Linux Kernel Developers, Microsoft OS developers, and Apple developers?

Oh, that's right, The Brand 'Google' is new to OS development, so that simply *MUST* mean they are utterly incompetent.
