Hi,

IE9 is able to show me a list of all open tabs when I hover over the icon in the taskbar. Some other applications I have also do this, but Chrome doesn't. Is this normal behaviour?

I don't know what this particular feature in Windows 7 is called, so googling the answer is proving tricky.

Now I think about it, all the applications that do it are Microsoft ones (Communicator, RDP, Outlook, AD tools etc). Is this functionality (whatever it is called) exclusive to MS applications?

nope, it's not exclusive. many other applications do it so i guess google haven't implemented it. i believe the feature is called taskbar previews if you want to have a search.

I tried this earlier but didn't seem to work. Normally on the actual machine I can see the multiple IE tabs in small previews and when I RDP to the machine these are shown as text labels (instead of thumbnails) which is still useful.

After using the Chrome switch in the link I don't see any text labels for different tabs. I was RDP'd at the time, so maybe that switch only works for thumbnail previews? I will check again when I am in front of the machine (not via RDP).
