So.. new Windows 8.1 install.
Installed Google Chrome 32bit since 64bit is uses a lot more memory.

I've been having problems with Google Chrome.

1. When opening a new tab I get a loading on my mouse point lasts about 6 seconds.. never used to on my old Windows 8.1
2. Keep getting an error when visiting different forums. "Send this error to Google Chrome feedback"
3. Visiting different types of website sometimes there web page is just white and nothing to see.
4. It feels laggy at times maybe because it's using a bit of memory?

Is this a Google Chrome bug?

Definitely seems like an abnormal amount of memory usage. I think chrome scales the amount of memory usage based on how much RAM is in your system.

It could be down to a memory leak bug, Chrome has had problems with those for a while now.

Just noticed something am I using the beta version of Google Chrome?
If so then maybe this is why Google chrome is using a lot of memory.

My version is: 44.0.2403.89 (Official Build) m (32-bit)
To find your Chrome version type chrome://version into your omnibox where the URL goes.

I have had the exact same problem since the new version installed itself a few days ago. I completely uninstalled Chrome and installed the 64bit beta version and so far (fingers crossed) all is now OK. My version:

44.0.2403.89 (Official Build) beta-m (64-bit)

Worked fine on mine.

Try uninstall Chrome then delete Chrome folder in C:\Program Files (x86)\Google and also delete Google folder in C:\Users\...\AppData\Local then you can try reinstall Chrome hope it work.

Would do this as well. A full fat reset should be able to solve it. If you downgraded from 64-bit to 32-bit some leftover parts from the 64-bit version may be conflicting with the 32-bit version.

44.0.2403.107 (Official Build) m (64-bit) is what I'm using and it's fine. Granted 64-bit uses more RAM but that's what RAM is for anyway, to be used.

Google chrome have a forum for help on what I'm having issues with..
No one helps on that forum useless Google haha..

I am still having the problem maybe I should move over to another browser.
