Google Desktop?

I was just surfing the google apps side of things and noticed google desktop, it looks pretty cool, has anyone actually used it and have an opinion on it, further Googles revealed that there are numerous computer searching type software, does anyone know which is best?

Its ok but i prefer windows desktop search. The google bar was turned off with in a week.

I tried it a few years ago and found it very buggy, but in fairness, I think it was a beta. I am currently using locate32 which is based on the locate command in Linux but with a Gui similar to that of the Windows 98 file search. I really hate the XP search function.

Nice, much better to use then the standard XP search....

i use GD at work, its pretty cool, the gadgets are handy too
