Google employees given Google Nexus

The voice features interest me somewhat really, especially the fact that you can send messages by voice alone!
 
All might not be Rosey with the nexus one.

What started out as a few tips on 3G issues for Google's Nexus One seems to have ballooned into a fair bit of drama at Google's support forums. The main complaint appears to be owners reporting that their device either never switches to 3G, or, it is constantly switching between 3G and EDGE. Many users are also posting that switching out to another manufacturer's set yields great 3G reception where they're testing, and others have chimed in that the service on their phones has been spotless. In an interview today at All Things D here at CES, Walt Mossberg mentioned the support problems to which Andy Rubin replied "we have to get better at customer service" -- all too true if this is a real problem. Let us know in comments if you're seeing an issue, and if there is a real problem here, hopefully it'll get addressed on the double.

I'm importing it as a business so not concerned about the VAT

Import with DHL few times a week, if they send with proper invoice then you'll definetely get charged - invoice usually comes 10 days later in the post.

In my case I'll get an e-mail from them as soon as it's cleared customs !
 
If been trying to order one (using FF) and it kept saying opps, problems, try later etc.

IE worked fine though, anyone else?
 
Lloyds TSB kept on blocking my tranasction. I rang them up and they claimed they hadnt . This morning i got a call from the fraud team.

useless they are!!! surely they can see the order is from google. Anyway its ordered now. Need to sell my junk 2g iphone

What is the general consensus on the UK arrival date of the Nexus?

I think this is going to be "the" phone for me. I am not sure whether its going to be a case of buying unlocked and getting a 1 month rolling contract Sim or taking out a Vodafone contract. I am more inclined towards the 2nd...
