Anyway of disabling that annoying Google animation when you use the search engine?, olympics does not interest me :)
 
perhaps use a different way of searching? for example using chrome just type the search query into the url bar and it'll go right to the google search results page (or your default search engine). Or set up using keywords to start searches.

I never go to the google.com page itself unless someone tells me that there is a cool logo or something.
 
Adblock wasn't blocking it

So i went into adblock and blocked the script manually!

Thanks for mentioning adblock Azuse05, even though i've had installed for over a year just forgot it could manually block java scripts :D
 
You could also add a background image as that relegates the doodle to four coloured dots crossing over each other just above and to the right of the e in google.
