Google home and Chromecast audio

can you control Chromecast audio with Google Home...also will Google Hime control Hive products?

just now I have a Chromecast Audio and 2 x JBL Studio monitors plugged in to a Hive Smart Plug (so I can switch the speakers on/off with phone/ipad).
I bought an Amazon Echo thinking I could use that instead of the CCA but the sound is pants...much clearer on the Chromecast...quick google shows others found the same, should have done that before buying.

So...would a Google Home allow me to voice control the heating/smart plug and chromecast audio? Would connecting the Googe Hone straight to the speakers give the same quality as the Chromecast Audio does?

also...how does a Google Home compare to an Echo? I quite like the Echo, I have a broad accent but it recognizes pretty much everything I say

Google Home will work really well with CCA. I've been using a CCA plugged into my hifi for years. Got a Google Home setup last week (early Christmas present) and they work really well together. I can just say "ok Google play 6 music" and it plays it. Or "hey Google play some foo fighters". etc.. Super easy, assuming you've got a Google Play Music subscription, or Spotify etc.

It looks like Home works with Hive but I don't really know anything about that.
