Google Home and Hive

wondering if anyone has this setup and how well it works? what commands can be used?

I have an Amazon Echo and Hive heating and a Hive active plug just now...I can switch the plug on/off, ask for the temp..set temp...set the boost time/temp. I'd stick with the Echo but I want to control a Chromecast Audio which the Echo won't do...since they're competitors!

Is support for this new? I'm sure last time I looked it didn't work.

I can try this out later and let you know. I currently have a couple of Echos and a Home Mini. Same problem as you though, I want to be able to control my 6 Chromecast Audios!

I think so....sure i found a post or webpage earlier saying it was released 19th of Nov or December...can't find it now tho! let me know how you get on

Seems to work fine with natural voice commands, similar to Echo integration. I've only have Active Heating, not Active Plugs though.

Bought a Home mini today to try it out....it controls the heating but that's all, can't control the plug...although I'm sure it will eventually.

The Echo's seem to cope better with my voice/accent too...pity as the Home controls the Chromecast Audio fine which the Echo can't do!

edit - actually the Home does work with the Hive active plug....must have mis-heard me earlier!
