Google Home Max or Sonos One

I was eagerly awaiting the release of the Google Home Max smart speaker until the pricing structure was released, at £399 I just cannot justify that amount for a smart speaker.

I note that the Sonos One will support Google Assistant in December, and from what I've read the sound quality is pretty good.

The speaker will mostly be used in the kitchen diner to provide background music and using the Google Assistant to set reminders etc.

Has anyone used either of these products and have any feedback to provide?

My customers are generally surprised by the size of the One. From the ads they often expect something the size of a can of beans, but in the flesh it's closer to a large jar of coffee.
