Google Launch Teleporting

Not actual teleporting of course, it's just the new name for their new feature.

Pretty groovy news really.

Google have now launched a search within a site function for major websites within their own Google results.

Of course this features has always been there, but now there is physically a second search box rather than having to do

vista site:microsoft.com

It's all algorithmically based, from what I understand if a website is getting a load of people typing the URL into Google, then doing a secondary search after that - Google have started implementing this feature for them.

Hey it's cool news for me, not as cool as actual Teleporting but still cool.

Great for end users, but sounds like it could be a lot more SEO work for webmasters.

Not really mate, the new search function they've done does the generic site search on Google.

From what the Blog says its mainly for hugely popular sites and people that type the full URL into google and then do a search on the site.

Don't see how this is going to make it any harder for us SEO's at all

I suppose it's useful for people who don't know about Googles advanced features.

Indeed it is, it's all about enhancing the end users experience my friend - and for Mom & Pops I imagine this would be a very good feature to use.
